It's a mean made up of a very light metallic frame on which are placed six plastic wheels that can float (water depth > 30 cm)  as well as rotate (water depth < 30 cm)

It has been conceived for carrying a very light 50 kN penetrometer, auto-anchoring with two lateral augers, thus with the possibility to carry out CPTU, CPTE, DMT, Environmental Sampling, etc down to 10÷15 m depending on the efficiency of the anchoring.

The penetrometer was also equipped with a small rotary head for carrying out shallow boreholes and sampling.
